Big Bass Splash Slot review
Pragmatic Play and Reel Kingdom would never have predicted just how successful the Big Bass series was going to be when they released Big Bass Bonanza back in 2020. In the time since its release, the studios have been hard at work pumping out all sorts of sequels and spin-offs. We’ve taken a trip down the Amazon with Big Bass Amazon Xtreme, had a Crash game with Big Bass Crash, and had multiple Megaways titles, including Big Bass Hold & Spinner Megaways. This time around, we are being taken into the American highways and exploring a giant cavern in Big Bass Splash. Let’s cast our rods and find out what we can reel in.
Big Bass Splash Theme and Design
Visually, Big Bass Splash is fairly similar to previous titles, with just a few alterations. The game has shifted away from the lakes and into a canyon, with a monster truck being responsible for the fishing action. The main character makes an appearance, but he looks much older and could potentially be a spin-off character. The symbols on the reels are largely the same, with the Fish and Fisherman Wilds still being central to most of the action.
How to Play Big Bass Splash
Big Bass Splash uses the same game layout as other titles in the series. There are five reels and three rows, with ten paylines on each spin.
It is one of the best Big Bass games for RTP, boasting a 96.71% rate, which is comfortably above the industry average.
It is considered highly volatile by Pragmatic Play, and offers a maximum win of 5,000x the player’s stake, which is about middle of the range by Big Bass standards.
Big Bass Splash Bonus Features
The Big Bass Splash Free Spins round is where the bulk of the game’s action takes place. Players can trigger the round by landing three or more Scatters, with three, four, or five Scatters launching 10, 15, or 20 spins, respectively. If only two Scatters land, a random feature may trigger to attempt to add a third. These are the respin, which will spin non-scatter reels, or the Hook, which will pull a reel up to see if a Scatter is present.
Before the spins begin, up to five modifiers can be added to the reels. These include additional spins, additional Wilds, and additional Fish Symbols.
During the round, any time a Fish Money symbol lands along with a Fisherman, they are reeled in and paid out. Each fourth Wild that lands, will reward ten additional spins and increase a multiplier that is applied to all Fish Money symbol payouts. This multiplier will reach x10 the third time you retrigger the spins. You can only retrigger these four times, with the multiplier not increasing on the fourth occasion.
Finally, during the round, if a Wild lands with no Fish, there is a chance that Fish will be randomly added to the reels. This can also happen the other way around.
Depending on location, players may also be able to enter the round for the cost of 100x their stake.
Big Bass Splash Slot Verdict
Pragmatic Play has found a winning formula with the Big Bass slots, and it does not appear as though the company plans to slow down its production of these titles any time soon. Big Bass Splash is another solid entry, serving up a good maximum win of 5,000x, and offering some engaging gameplay that makes good use of the brand’s flagship Fish Symbol Collect mechanic.
