Play’n Go’s 100 series continues to grow with the Rise of Olympus 100 slot. This game is effectively a remake of the original Rise of Olympus slot, a game that has proven to be a big hit for the company over the years. Anyone who has played the original slot will know that it is a reskin of the Moon Princess slot game; a game that, coincidentally, has also been given the 100 remake treatment. Rise of Olympus Theme and Design
From a visual perspective, Rise of Olympus 100 does very little to stand out from its predecessor. The game has a slightly darker tone to it, with the backdrop of the game starting under the ocean with Posiedon standing by the reels. The graphics are solid, if fairly unremarkable, and the slot sticks closely to the blueprint of the genre. That said, some of the animations here are quite nice and help to bring the action to life, especially during the bonus rounds.
How to Play Rise of Olympus
Play’n Go has stuck close to the original Rise of Olympus slot with the gameplay here. The slot takes place on an enhanced 5x5 grid, using a pay-anywhere style mechanic, with winning combinations of three or more matching symbols landing anywhere across the grid.
Whenever players manage to land a winning combination, the winning symbols are removed from the game, with new symbols falling into their place. This finishes when no new winning combinations are formed.
The original slot’s 2,500x maximum win has been given a significant shot in the arm. The maximum win on offer here is 15,000x the player’s stake. The RTP for the slot is 96.50%. However, there are multiple versions of the slot available, so be sure to find the one with the best RTP.
Rise of Olympus Bonus Features
There are a lot of moving parts in the Rise of Olympus 100 slot to keep up with. Firstly, whenever a three-of-a-kind combo is formed and removed, a Wild symbol is placed in the middle. As well as this, a progressive multiplier is applied during a cascade. This starts at x1 and increases by one with each cascade up to a maximum of x100. Notably, this doesn’t reset at the end of a cascade during the Bonus Spins round.
It’s not just winning spins where players can get a bonus though. The slot has the Hand of God feature. This is one of three features depending on which god is standing at the side of the reels.
Hades will convert a set of symbols to another, Poseidon will gift one or two Wilds to the grid, and Zeus will remove a set of symbols entirely. This is not the only involvement these three have. There is a meter on the side of the reel, and it will fill up whenever you land a winning combination of God symbols. When it is full, the Wrath of Olympus bonus triggers.
For this, each of the Gods will use their modifier on the reels. If this clears the reel grid, then the Bonus Spins round is triggered. Players then get to choose how the Bonus Spins are played out. Hades, Poseidon and Zeus Spins reward four, five, or eight spins respectively, with the titular Gods feature being active. The meter is also active again in this round, and can retrigger up to 100 spins.
Rise of Olympus Slot Verdict
If you were a fan of the original Rise of Olympus slot game, then the Rise of Olympus 100 slot is really going to strike a chord. The developer has taken the visual style of the original game, as well as some of its bonus features, and ramped them up to the max. The bonuses remain complex, but they link together really nicely to help form some big potential wins. There is plenty to enjoy with this slot and we definitely recommend taking it for a spin.
