Itero Slot review
If there is one thing the online slot world is full of, it’s Ancient Greek-themed titles. Putting a new spin on these can be very difficult, but Hacksaw Gaming has managed to do just that with the Itero slot game. A quick Google search will tell you that Itero means repeat in Latin, and that is a key theme in the slot. This is not your ordinary slot game – the reels here are dripping in existential dread, with the echo of the past following every spin. Let’s take a dive into this unique and mysterious slot game and see what it has in store.
Itero Theme and Design
Hacksaw Gaming is always pushing boundaries with its slot designs, and there are few slots that do this as well as Itero. Those who played Hand of Anubis, also by Hacksaw Gaming, will have gotten a feel for the kind of darker vibe the company has gone for here. The colour palette is very monochrome, with a washed-out statue of Zeus standing by the reels, watching you as you spin. Repetition is the focus, and the whole atmosphere of the game gives off a vibe full of existential dread.
How to Play Itero
Itero may look dark and brooding, but the gameplay in the base game is nice and easy to adjust to. The game unfolds across five reels and four rows, with 20 active paylines on each spin. In the version of the game we tested, the slot allowed for bets between €0.10 and €100. This is adjusted using the up and down arrows next to the spin button. The betting range could vary depending on the casino you are playing at.
The RTP of Itero is 96.18%, with lower versions, including the version we tested at 94.24%, available. Be sure to check the RTP of the game before you get started. The maximum win available in the game is 10,000x your stake, which is a solid amount.
Itero Bonus Features
The theme of repetition is really driven home with the slot’s unique Echospins feature. Whenever players land a winning spin that includes the Jupiter’s Hand logo, the hand will open to reveal a number of Echospins. The reels will then repeat the previous spin with a stacked progressive multiplier being collected on the top of the reels. Additive multipliers can be up to x10, while multiplicative multipliers can be up to x3. The total multipliers will then be rewarded on each Echospin. Players are given between one and eight Echospins.
There are also two Bonus Spins rounds available in the game. Three Free Spins symbols launch the Wrath of Jupiter Spins, and four trigger the Gift from the Gods Spins.
In the Wrath of Jupiter round, players get 10 Free Spins with an increased chance of landing the Hand of Jupiter symbol. There is also the chance of a higher number of Echospins being rewarded.
In the Gift from the Gods Bonus, all landed multipliers are saved in the total multiplier above the reels throughout the round. If Echospins are rewarded, the total multiplier applied above the reels will be rewarded as opposed to the progressive multiplier. The total multiplier resets at the end of the Echospins.
Itero Slot Verdict
Whether you end up enjoying the Itero slot game, there is one thing that you can’t deny – it is very different from other Ancient Greece-themed slots on the market. From its brooding theme to the innovative echo respins feature, there is plenty that makes Itero stand out from the pack. If you are a fan of Hacksaw Gaming, then this is a slot that is well worth taking out for a spin.
