As a general rule, if a slot is a sequel, it’s because the first slot game was a big hit, and generally, unlike in other mediums, things are only a hit if they are good. The Money Train series is a great example of this. The first Money Train slot from Relax Gaming was a huge hit for the company, with its innovative gameplay going down a treat with fans and those in the industry alike. As such, Relax Gaming decided to revisit the title and give it a revamp with the Money Train 2 slot. Does it live up to its predecessor though? Money Train 2 Theme and Design
Money Train 2 sticks to the same theme and design as the original Money Train slot. The reels are designed to look like a train, with a rather colourful cast of bandits and outlaws making up the symbols. The backdrop of the slot is a barren wasteland which looks to have drawn inspiration from movies like Mad Max. The whole post-apocalyptic vibe is mixed with a slight hint of a Western to give this slot a really cool aesthetic.
How to Play Money Train 2
If you want to get this train on the tracks, then you don’t need to learn a lot. The slot has five reels and four rows, allowing for 40 active paylines on each spin. A stack of coins icon on the right-hand side allows players to adjust their stake throughout the game.
The RTP of the slot is a solid 96.4%, with the game offering the players a chance to land a win of up to 50,000x their overall stake. Needless to say, these are not numbers to turn your nose up at.
Money Train 2 Bonus Features
There are few bonus features so popular that they’ve been turned into their own slot game, but that is the case with the Money Cart feature in Money Train 2. When players land three or more Bonus symbols on the reels, the Money Cart feature is triggered.
When the round starts, the triggering Bonus symbols become multipliers and stick to the reels. All other symbols disappear from the grid and are replaced with either blank symbols or feature symbols. The game then rewards three re-spins. Every time a feature symbol lands, these will reset to three. When the round ends, all of the symbols and their values are added together and paid out.
The following are the symbols that can land in the round and the features they bring:
- Bonus Symbol: This will have a multiplier of between x1 and x10.
- Golden Bonus Symbol: This is the same as the Bonus Symbol, but with bigger multipliers of between x20 and x200.
- Payer: The Payer symbol pays a value to all symbols on the reels.
- Collector: The Collector adds all of the values on the grid and adds them to itself.
- Collector/Payer: This is a mix of both. The symbol adds up all of the symbols on the grid like the Collector and then adds them to everyone else like the Payer.
- Sniper: Doubles the value of up to eight symbols.
- Necromancer: This has the ability to bring dead symbols back to life and retrigger their features.
- Reset Plus: Increases the value of spins by 1.
- Persistent Payer/Sniper/Collector: These have the powers of their respective symbols but will stick on the reels and trigger them on every spin.
While this is the big selling point of the slot, it is not the only feature. There is also a re-spin feature that is triggered when you land just two Bonus symbols on one spin. When this happens, the symbols will become multipliers and trigger a re-spin. The reels will then continue to respin until a winning combination is formed, with the multiplier increasing by one on every spin.

Money Train 2 has gone on to be one of Relax Gaming’s biggest hits, and it’s easy to see why.
