Money Train 4 Slot review
Slot enthusiasts will need no introduction to the world of Money Train 4. The Money Train series from Relax Gaming has been a huge hit for the studio, spawning several spin-offs and sequels. The original Money Train slot came crashing into stations in 2019, spawning three sequels and two Money Cart spin-offs. Is this still a train boarding on its fourth entry, though? It's time to jump aboard and find out in this Money Train 4 slot review.
Money Train 4 Theme and Design
Each entry in the Money Train series has taken players to some sort of dystopian future, and Money Train 4 is no different. The developer has mixed Mad Max with the Terminator for this entry, with the reels consisting of some sort of robotic structure that is situated in the middle of the desert. Several characters from previous entries also make reappearances.
The game switches things up from when you move into the bonus rounds, dropping us into the middle of a stormy night, where the aforementioned robotic structure has disappeared, and some glowing red lights create an ominous atmosphere.
How to Play Money Train 4
If you have played previous Money Train titles, you will know what to expect from a gameplay perspective. The slot uses a 6x6 grid, utilizing a Scatter Pays mechanic, with winning combinations formed of eight or more symbols landing anywhere on the grid. Like previous entries, there is a Tumble mechanic in the game, with winning combinations being removed and replaced by new ones. This continues happening until no new wins are formed.
The slot has an RTP of 96.10% and is considered highly volatile. The biggest selling point here, though, is the colossal 150,000x maximum stake win that is on offer. This is an exceptional maximum win and one that is going to draw plenty of attention.
Money Train 4 Bonus Features
The Money Cart bonus feature is, as always, the biggest attraction in Money Train 4, but Relax Gaming has also added a respin feature. This can trigger at the end of any random spin. The most common symbol on the reels will become sticky, and the reels will respin. Other symbols are removed for the respin, with only blanks, multipliers, and the chosen symbol landing. When no new symbols land, the round ends, and everything on the reels is paid out.
The main feature of the game is Money Cart, and it is bigger and better than ever. The bonus triggers when players land three or more Bonus symbols. The game then shifts to the bonus screen, starting on a 6x4 grid. When a row fills, an additional row is given.
Standard symbols are removed, and only blanks, multipliers, and modifiers can land. Whenever a new symbol lands, the spin count, which starts at three, resets. The following modifiers can land:
- Collector - Collects all visible values on-screen and adds them to its value.
- Persistent Collector - Collects all values and adds to its own for each spin.
- Adjacent Collector - Collects values from adjacent positions and adds to its own.
- Persistent Adjacent Collector - Sticks on the grid and collects values adjacent to its own on each spin.
- Payer - Adds a bet multiplier to all symbols on the grid.
- Adjacent Payer - Adds its values to all adjacent symbols.
- Persistent Payer - Sticks on the grid and adds its value to all symbols on each spin.
- Persistent Adjacent Payer - Sticks on the grid and pays to all adjacent symbols on each turn.
- Sniper - Randomly selects 3-8 bonus symbols and doubles their values.
- Persistent sniper - Doubles the value of between three and eight symbols on every spin until the end of the round.
- Collector Payer -Selects 3-5 symbols and adds their value to its own, it then pays out the updated value to its targets.
- Persistent Collector Payer - A collector payer symbol that sticks on the grid for the duration, repeating its actions on each spin.
- Arms Dealer - Changes up to four bonus symbols into feature symbols.
- Persistent Arms Dealer - Changes one bonus symbol into a feature symbol after each spin until the end of the round.
- Necromancer - Brings 2-7 already used non-sticky symbols back to life to be used again.
- Persistent Necromancer - Brings up to seven symbols back to life on each spin until the end of the round.
- Unlocker - Unlock a locked row.
- Persistent Shapeshifter - Changes into one of the other features, except the Necromancer.
- Reset Plus - Boost the overall spin count by one.
- Upgrader - Turns up to three feature symbols into their persistent versions.
Depending on a player’s location, they may also have the option to buy their way into the bonus rounds.
