How to Play Scatter Monsters
Like most scatter slots, Scatter Monsters takes place on an enhanced grid. It has six reels, each displaying six symbols. Wins are formed when players land clusters of five or more on the grid. The slot uses a cascading wins mechanic. Whenever a winning cluster is formed, the symbols disappear from the grid, and new ones drop into their place. This continues until no new clusters are formed.
The game’s maths model is nothing too outstanding. It offers a maximum win of 1,493x the player’s stake, and the RTP clocks in at 96.03%, both of which are average numbers. Quickspin has given the game a medium volatility rating.
Scatter Monsters Bonus Features
The bonus features in Scatter Monsters are all about collecting symbols. Whenever a winning Scatter is formed, Vampire, Zombies and Demon symbols are collected in their respective meters to the left of the grid. Whenever a cascading sequence finishes, the meters reset to zero. Filling the meters will trigger one of the following features:
Vampire Soul Meter: Filling this with 20 symbols will trigger a symbol upgrade. All low-paying colour symbols are upgraded. If there are no low-paying symbols, then medium symbols are upgraded. It is possible to overfill this meter to trigger the feature several times.
Zombie Soul Meter: This meter requires 40 symbols to fill. Filling it removes all of one random colour and stores their souls in their respective Soul Meter. Like the Vampire Meter, this can be overfilled and triggered more than once.
Demon Soul Meter: This is the biggest to fill, with players needing to land 60 symbols. When this happens, eight Free Spins are rewarded. This can also be overfilled, with every 25 after the initial 60 rewarding one more spin.
The collections don’t stop once the Free Spins are launched. It is possible to trigger any of the modifiers during the spins. Any symbols left over in the meters at the end of a cascade can also be converted into multipliers. A maximum multiplier of x20 is applied if more than 101 souls are left over.
