Theme and Design
If you blink twice, you could be forgiven for mistaking Barn Festival for The Dog House slot game from Pragmatic Play. The two titles give off a very similar vibe. While The Dog House used colourful reels full of dogs in a garden, Barn Festival uses colourful fruit symbols on a farm, with a farmhouse and a barn in the background. The festival element could have just referred to the gameplay, but Pragmatic Play has decided to randomly add a few floating balloons to make it a bit more literal. Either way though, this is a charming and easy-going slot.
How to Play
As we mentioned in the intro, the Barn Festival slot uses the same pay-anywhere mechanic that can be found in some other Pragmatic Play slots. In real terms, this just means that winning combinations can be formed with the symbols scattered across the reels, as opposed to with paylines. The combinations will need to be of eight or more of one symbol in order to win. This all takes place on a 6x5 grid.
The slot also utilises a Tumble feature. Winning symbols are removed from the reels and new ones fall into their place.

Bonus Features
This Barn Festival really gets underway with the bonus features. The Money symbols are the key to success in the slot. Money symbols will display multipliers between x1 and x500 and can appear on any spin.
When exactly three land during a Tumble, they are added together and then paid out at the end of the Tumble round. If they fall on an initial spin, then they are added together and stored. The reels will then respin until a win is formed and they are paid out.
The real fun starts when you land four Money symbols though. This triggers the Money Respin feature. The feature takes place on a new 4x5 grid, with all of the four Money symbols that launched the round sticking to the reels. Three respins are rewarded to kick things off, with the round unfolding similarly to the Money Cart round in the Money Train 2 slot. Standard symbols are removed from the reels and modifiers are added. Whenever a symbol lands, it will stick to the reels and the respins go back to three. There are also two additional reels, one at either end of the grid, that are locked.
The following are the symbols that can land in the Money Respin round:
- Money: This is the money Scatter and it has multiplier values displayed.
- Add Value: This is a watering can that adds a random value to all Money symbols on the grid.
- Multiply: This will multiply the value of between 2 to 5 Money symbols by up to x5.
- Collect: This will collect all of the Money symbols, add them together, and adopt that value on the reels.
- Unlock: This will unlock the other two reels. First, it unlocks the right reel, and next, it unlocks the left reel. When it has done this, it will adopt a random value.
- Persistent Add, Multiply, and Collect: These do what the standard Add, Multiply, and Collect symbols do, only they stick on the reels and do it on every respin.

Slot Verdict
Barn Festival takes elements from several other popular slots and brings them together really effectively. The Money Respins bonus is brilliant, and while it might not offer the same wins as the Money Train 2 Money Cart feature, it does have a much gentler tone for those who prefer their slots to be a bit more colourful. From a design and base game perspective, the slot has Pragmatic Play’s fingerprints all over it, and it makes for a great addition to their catalogue.
